Qatar's Emir Meets US Envoys to Discuss US-Iran Negotiations
Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to discuss developments in US-Iran negotiations and regional issues.

On Wednesday, Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner at his office in Lusail Palace.
The meeting involved reviewing the latest developments in the region, with a particular focus on the ongoing negotiation process between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran under the framework of their memorandum of understanding.
Discussions also covered the current situation in Lebanon, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the ceasefire to preserve Lebanon's unity, sovereignty, and stability.
The Emir reaffirmed Qatar's commitment, in partnership with Pakistan, to mediation efforts and support for all dialogue tracks stemming from the memorandum of understanding. The goal is to reach a comprehensive and sustainable settlement that enhances regional security and supports international peace and security.
Meanwhile, the US envoys expressed their appreciation for Qatar's role, alongside the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in facilitating the negotiation process and bridging differences.
Witkoff and Kushner confirmed the United States' dedication to continuing the negotiation path and strengthening diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive agreement.
