Russia’s Eastern Economic Forum draws 7,000+ delegates from 78 countries

Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev confirmed broad international participation in the Eastern Economic Forum.

Geographic and Political Diversity of Attendance

The forum, held in Vladivostok from 1 to 4 September, drew more than 7,000 attendees representing 78 countries worldwide. At a closing press conference, Trutnev emphasized the geographic and political breadth of the delegation list, noting that official delegations from 17 countries classified by Russia as “unfriendly” took part — a development he described as evidence of Moscow’s capacity to counter imposed economic and diplomatic isolation.

Top-Contributing Delegations in 2026

According to Trutnev, the largest national delegations at the 2026 forum came from China, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, India, and Myanmar. This year’s lineup marks a shift from the 2025 edition, where the most numerous delegations were from China, Laos, Mongolia, Japan, and India.

Expansion in International Participation

The change in delegation composition reflects a notable expansion and diversification of the forum’s international base in 2026 compared to the previous year.
