Shock in Paris: 16 Accused of Child Rape in State Nursery

Paris is facing a growing scandal involving widespread sexual abuse in nurseries and primary schools, with 16 people detained in the French capital.

According to the French newspaper Le Monde, citing the public prosecutor's office, these individuals were held in connection with accusations linked to a single state-run nursery located in the city center.

Investigative authorities told the newspaper that the suspects are accused of raping and sexually assaulting minors, in addition to committing acts of violence against them.

Some of those detained had previously been suspended from their duties.
