Syrian Internal Security Forces Impose Curfew in Al-Sheikh Miskin After

Syrian sources reported early Thursday morning that Al-Sheikh Miskin, located in central Daraa countryside, experienced heightened security tensions and saw multiple houses set on fire after a homicide occurred in the town.

According to Syrian sources and activists, the victim, identified as Abdul Ghani Abdul Latif al-Omari, died from gunfire sustained during a physical altercation with another resident of the town.

In response, Syrian Internal Security Forces imposed a curfew across Al-Sheikh Miskin in central Daraa countryside, effective until 6 a.m.

The Syrian state-run Al-Ikhbariya channel stated that a brawl erupted among several civilians, during which one individual opened fire with a handgun he was carrying, resulting in the death of the Syrian citizen.

Arrest and investigation

Al-Ikhbariya reported that Syrian Internal Security Forces apprehended the suspect who carried out the killing and transferred him to the competent authorities to complete the investigation and refer him to judicial authorities.

Security deployment

The channel added that Syrian Internal Security Forces deployed personnel at the site of the brawl and the crime scene to prevent any direct confrontation or escalation between the two families involved.
