Donald Trump announced the cancellation of American envoys' visit to Pakistan, which was aimed at exploring the resumption of talks with Iran.
Trump said in an interview with Fox News that his country "holds all the winning cards," adding that Iranians "can contact us at any time they want," but stressed that the envoys "will no longer make 18-hour trips to sit and talk about nothing."
He explained that he told the envoys not to travel "to talk about useless matters," pointing out that Iran's position on the negotiations prompted him to make the cancellation decision, while affirming that cancellation of the visit does not mean resumption of the war.
His comments came after the White House said on Friday that Witkoff and Kushner would leave for Pakistan for a new round of talks with Iran.
