Trump: Iran will have no choice but to retreat

US President Donald Trump said that Iran will ultimately have no choice but to retreat, stressing that the United States will continue to launch strong strikes against it, and that ongoing operations are "going well."

In an interview with Fox News, Trump explained that his country continues to achieve victories, adding: "What we can do is keep winning, and then something will happen eventually regarding Iran."

Trump affirmed that operations against Iran are achieving positive results, emphasizing that the United States will continue to launch strong strikes, considering that continued pressure will eventually force Tehran to retreat.

The US military is launching strikes on Iran in response to attacks carried out by Tehran that targeted American forces in the region after a week of de-escalation, in what portends a widening of the war in the Middle East, especially as Tehran-backed militias enter the front line.

Iranian official media reported that strikes occurred on Thursday on Qeshm Island and the city of Abadan (south), where "rescue teams are trying to locate two people trapped under the rubble" of a house on Qeshm Island.

The war broke out with an American-Israeli attack on Iran on February 28. Fighting stopped, despite some violations, starting in April. The ceasefire was reinforced by the two parties signing a memorandum of understanding in mid-June.

The understanding collapsed as of July 7, and the two sides resumed strikes amid ongoing disagreements, especially over the Strait of Hormuz.

Washington bombed targets in Iran, which responded by targeting countries allied with Washington, especially Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, announcing strikes on military bases. For the first time since these strikes stopped on the night of July 24, Iran fired missiles toward Jordan at dawn on Wednesday.
