US President Donald Trump rushed back to the capital, Washington, from Tennessee, amid difficult weather conditions and a strong storm that hit the United States in recent days.

Earlier, Trump had traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee, to attend an American college football game between the University of Tennessee and the University of Texas at Neyland Stadium.

Trump returned to the White House aboard the presidential helicopter "Marine One" and did not finish the game; he left the stadium in a motorcade heading directly to the airport during the second half, specifically in the fourth quarter, about 8 minutes before it ended.

The Republican president stepped onto the newly completed helipad at the White House and crossed the new granite floor as part of his aircraft's new pathway leading to his office.

Trump stood under heavy rain holding his umbrella, boasting about his achievements, telling reporters: "It looks beautiful, doesn't it?!"
