U.S. President Donald Trump announced today, Friday, his rejection of the Missouri Supreme Court ruling that invalidated the state's new electoral map for upcoming elections, calling the decision "absurd and unconstitutional".

Trump wrote on his platform "Truth Social": "The Missouri Supreme Court has just issued a laughable ruling ordering the redrawing of congressional districts back to what they were long ago; essentially reverting to a distant past."

He added: "According to legal experts, the problem is not merely that this ruling is absurd, laughable, and unconstitutional—it also leaves insufficient time to redraw the map before the approaching election."

Trump continued: "The American electoral process is being obstructed as usual! Missouri should be allowed to use the map approved just a few months ago during the primary elections. It is a dark day in the history of justice in Missouri."
