US Prepares for Xi Jinping's September Visit Despite Trump Election Interference Claims

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has affirmed that preparations continue for Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the United States, despite accusations from President Donald Trump alleging Chinese interference in US elections.

China strongly denied President Trump's claims, labeling them as "pure nonsense" and reaffirmed its firm commitment to non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.

The Kremlin also rejected accusations from Trump regarding Russian interference in US elections.

China's response came shortly after Trump disclosed intelligence information about what he described as "serious vulnerabilities" in the US electoral system.

These allegations extended to several US adversaries, including Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, as well as non-governmental entities, all purported to have the capability to influence the US election infrastructure.

According to Bloomberg, Rubio stated, "We expect the visit to take place in September."

The Secretary of State also noted that China continues to send representatives regularly to prepare for this visit.

Previously, Trump claimed that China did everything possible in 2020 to prevent his re-election and accused US intelligence officials of deliberately withholding this information from the White House.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian emphasized at a press conference that China consistently adheres to the principle of non-interference and has no interest or historical record of meddling in US electoral matters.
