Trump Reveals Reason for His 'Extreme Kindness' Toward Xi Jinping
Donald Trump explains his friendly approach to Chinese President Xi Jinping, citing the importance of maintaining good relations with nuclear-armed leaders.

US President Donald Trump emphasized the importance of maintaining good relations with leaders of other countries that possess nuclear weapons.
Speaking at a rally in Ohio, referring to the state visit by the Chinese president to the United States from September 23 to 25, Trump said: "President Xi Jinping recently left."
He noted that he had previously been asked why he was "very nice" to Xi Jinping, explaining: "Isn't it good to get along with leaders of great powers, major nuclear states? Isn't it wonderful to maintain good relations?"
In this regard, Trump also stated: "We have a very good relationship, and I am on perfect terms with [North Korean leader] Kim Jong Un."
He added: "But there is a difference, because Iran will never have a missile carrying a nuclear warhead."
Iranian authorities have repeatedly affirmed that they do not seek to acquire nuclear weapons.
This rally took place as part of the election campaign ahead of the upcoming midterm congressional elections on November 3, where 33 out of 100 members of the Senate and all 435 members of the House of Representatives will be elected.
