Trump: We Will Strike Iran with Force!

President Donald Trump said the United States will respond to the Iranian attack targeting American forces in Jordan, confirming that Washington will deliver a "strong blow" to Iranians.

According to a reporter from Fox News on Monday, Trump added that the U.S. intercepted all Iranian missiles launched by Tehran yesterday except for one "that did not pose a threat."

He also stated that "Iranians really want to hold a meeting," but questioned their reliability in reaching an agreement, adding that current U.S. sanctions on the Iranian regime "are beginning to take strong effect."

On another front, Trump said on a post to Truth Social on Monday that Iran has become a "failed state," arguing it suffers from military weakness and severe economic decline. He added that Iranian authorities cannot pay soldiers' or police officers' salaries, while inflation is soaring and the local currency is losing value.

Trump accused Iran of suppressing protests and killing demonstrators, calling for accountability of those responsible. He also criticized what he described as "false news" and "lies" related to Iran.

In a tweet, Trump wrote: "Iran has officially become a failed state. It is dead! It has no freedom, no air force, no currency with value. It does not pay its soldiers’ or police officers’ salaries, inflation has reached 300 percent, and its leadership is in complete chaos and unable to properly represent the country."

He continued: "The only thing it has left is 'fake news' coming from the United States, the readiness to kill protesters (the death toll has now surpassed 100,000 people—these individuals must be prosecuted for war crimes against humanity!), and proficiency in spreading 'nonsense and lies.'"

Earlier on Sunday night-Monday, Trump shared an AI-generated video claiming to show Khark Island, Iran’s oil hub, reduced to rubble after hours of the two countries exchanging attacks for the first time since July.

This renewed fighting on Sunday follows weeks of intensified efforts by the Trump administration to punish Tehran and its commercial partners through costly economic sanctions, moving away from military options.
