Axios reveals a secret meeting at Camp David where Trump administration officials discussed next steps regarding the crises in Iran and Yemen.

Axios revealed today, Saturday, that senior members of President Donald Trump's administration held a secret meeting lasting several hours at "Camp David" on Friday to discuss the next steps in the files of Iran and Yemen, according to American officials.
The site said the Trump administration did not announce this "unusual" meeting, which sources stated was chaired by Vice President JD Vance. The last time a similar meeting was held was in June 2025, just days before Israel launched a war against Iran.
Among the other participants were Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, White House envoy Steve Witkoff, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Kane.
One official said, "Matters have been decided or at least deeply discussed," referring to the crisis in the Middle East.
The site noted that with negotiations stalled, President Trump is considering resuming major combat operations in Iran.
He said on Thursday in a statement to reporters: "I now have to make a decision: either Iran signs the agreement, or it will no longer exist."
On Friday afternoon, while his advisors were at Camp David, journalists asked Trump about his next step regarding Iran.
He replied, saying: "If I tell you, you'll have a big story. But you will see. Things are going very well. Iran is not in a good state."
