A Ukrainian drone targeted a residential building located in the Russian-controlled section of Kherson in southern Ukraine, resulting in the death of a child and injuries to 11 individuals, according to an official source.

Vladimir Saldo, the Russia-appointed governor of the occupied parts of Kherson, stated on Telegram that the strike occurred in the city of Henichesk, situated on the coast of the Sea of Azov.

Meanwhile, an energy company in Ukraine reported via Telegram that power outages affected 40,000 residents following a Russian attack on the Chernihiv border region, as hostilities between the two sides have persisted since 2022.

Peace talks sponsored by the United States have stalled, with Washington focusing its attention on the conflict with Iran.

In a televised interview aired on Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his intention to continue negotiations aimed at achieving peace with Russia before the onset of winter.
