The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has denied the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's assertion that it targeted the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain and a US airbase in the region.
In a statement posted on the X platform on Wednesday morning, CENTCOM described the claim as "false," emphasizing that all Iranian attacks against US forces have failed. The command also stated that US forces remain vigilant and prepared "to defend themselves against any unjustified Iranian aggression."
Separately, Washington announced it had thwarted Iranian attacks and carried out strikes on Qeshm Island.
