Drone War Enters New Phase: Iran Announces Tracking of US 'Scorpion Strike' Unit
Iran's Revolutionary Guard announced continuous monitoring of the US 'Scorpion Strike' drone unit, claiming to have thwarted its operations and warning against further aggression.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the movements and activities of the US Special Drone Unit "Scorpion Strike," affiliated with US Central Command, are under continuous surveillance, confirming that Tehran possesses intelligence on its movements and the locations where its systems operate.
In a statement issued today, Sunday, the IRGC said the American unit seeks to expand the use of one-way attack drones of the "LUCAS" model, which it described as low-cost systems developed based on the design of the Iranian "Shahed 136" drone, aiming to increase strike capability and pressure Iran's air defense network.
Electronic Countermeasures
The statement added that electronic warfare systems and air defense units belonging to the Aerospace Force of the IRGC managed to detect and thwart offensive movements by this unit, noting that intelligence and technical assessments continue to identify drone operational patterns, their operational structure, and launch sites.
The IRGC affirmed that changing flight methods, increasing the number of drones, or diversifying launch platforms will not provide them protection from Iranian defensive measures.
The statement emphasized that Iranian forces possess the necessary readiness to respond proportionally and effectively to any new attack, noting that launch sites and facilities associated with the deployment and operation of attacking systems fall within the scope of Iranian defensive assessments.
The IRGC held entities planning any hostile act, along with their commanders, executors, and host countries, responsible for the consequences of any targeting of Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Dead End
In a related context, Iranian Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi stated that the United States has reached a dead end in West Asia, considering that political and electoral developments in the US and repeated failures of President Donald Trump's administration reflect, in his view, Washington's defeat before Iran's will.
Shekarchi added that what he described as the failure of the doctrine of aggression, assassinations, and maximum pressure, alongside US military strategies, revealed Washington's incapacity before Iranian deterrent capabilities and the will of the leadership, people, and armed forces.
He noted that anti-Iranian US policies and successive failures in the region, as well as the declining prestige of the US fleet and military equipment, led to shaking the foundations of American power, according to his expression.
Shekarchi accused President Trump and his allies of causing strategic attrition and deep internal crises, instead of achieving their declared goal of destroying Iran, considering that what he described as America's strategic defeat confirms that global balances of power do not always favor dominant powers.
He concluded by saying that any force standing against Iran will face, according to his expression, an inevitable fate of falling and collapse before the country's will.
