The US military accused Iran of targeting commercial vessels with drone attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, shooting down all drones while navigation continued uninterrupted.

The US military accused Iran on Saturday of launching attacks using drones against several commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
The US Central Command stated that Iran deployed multiple one-way attack drones in an attempt to target commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
It added that US forces intercepted and shot down all the Iranian drones in recent hours, while navigation through the strait continued without disruption.
In a statement posted on the platform X, the US Central Command emphasized that the international commercial passage remains open for ship movement.
Central Command confirmed that US Navy warships and aircraft continue their patrols in territorial waters to reinforce the blockade imposed on Iran.
The command also noted that since April 13, its forces have redirected the course of 139 compliant commercial ships and disabled nine vessels deemed non-compliant.
