Amarillis Fox Kennedy, wife of Robert Kennedy Jr.'s son, intends to resign from two senior roles in the Trump administration, reportedly partly due to opposition to the US war on Iran.

Amarillis Fox Kennedy, married to Robert Kennedy Jr.'s son Johnny, is preparing to resign from two prominent positions within President Donald Trump's administration amid reports linking her decision partly to her opposition to the US military stance against Iran.
The Washington Post reported that Fox Kennedy will step down as deputy to National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, as well as from her role as assistant director at the Office of Management and Budget. Sources familiar with the matter indicated her resignation will take effect on Friday.
According to the report, a key factor behind her resignation is her disagreement with Trump's military policy toward Iran. However, Fox Kennedy did not explicitly mention the war in an email sent to colleagues on May 8, in which she announced her intention to return to the private sector.
In that message, she described motherhood as "the greatest gift from God," adding that after two years working on the election campaign and one year within the administration, she must now focus on her family's needs. She also praised the Trump administration's performance.
Fox Kennedy is a former CIA officer with eight years of service. She is expected to continue serving in a third capacity within the administration as a member of the President's Intelligence Advisory Board.
Tulsi Gabbard issued a statement thanking Fox Kennedy for her "leadership and distinguished service," commending her role in coordinating intelligence agencies to align with the administration's objectives.
