White House Confirms Witkoff and Kushner to Attend Iran Meeting in Doha
White House announces that President Biden's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will attend a scheduled Iran meeting in Doha on Tuesday.

The White House announced on Monday that President Biden's envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, will participate in a planned meeting on Iran in Doha on Tuesday.
Fox News quoted White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt as saying that technical talks with Iran will take place alongside the high-level discussions.
Leavitt emphasized that "violence from Iran will be met with violence," while also highlighting the United States' commitment to its ceasefire obligations with Tehran.
She further confirmed that Washington will continue to respond to attacks launched by Iran against commercial vessels.
Leavitt stated, "It would be better for the Iranians to sign a good deal with the United States," adding that President Donald Trump "has the right to use military force against Iran if necessary."
Earlier on Monday, Trump confirmed that Iranian authorities had requested a meeting to be held on Tuesday in Doha, despite Tehran denying such reports hours before.
The U.S. president posted on his platform Truth Social that "Iran requested a meeting. It will be held tomorrow in Doha."
Qatar, alongside Pakistan, is acting as a mediator in the talks between the two countries aimed at ending the war in the Middle East.
