Yemeni armed forces launched a military operation against the Houthi militia in response to recent attacks in Marib and Hadhramaut provinces, emphasizing unity and readiness to defend all fronts.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced early Saturday that they carried out a military operation against the Houthi militia in retaliation for its recent attacks in Marib and Hadhramaut governorates.
In a statement, the forces said the operation targeted Houthi troops, capabilities, and terrorist elements across multiple fronts along the frontline with the Yemeni Armed Forces.
It noted that the operation "demonstrated the unity of command and control of our armed forces," stressing that any attack on one front or axis constitutes an attack on all fronts and axes under the armed forces' full operational structure and personnel.
According to the statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces hold the Houthi militia and those behind it fully responsible for the ongoing escalation, underscoring their unwavering commitment to protecting civilians, sites, and military forces.
It affirmed that it "will respond to any new aggression with necessary and firm military measures in accordance with political and military leadership directives and operational realities."
The forces called on "citizens, tribes across the country, and the national social fabric" to rally around the armed forces and support the legitimate government in restoring state institutions.
