Meta Launches Muse Image AI Tool in Meta AI App and Social Platforms

Meta has unveiled Muse Image, the initial image generation model developed by its Meta Superintelligence Labs, now accessible within the Meta AI app. This tool enables users to create images from descriptive text prompts by leveraging Muse Spark AI reasoning, which interprets the prompt, gathers contextual information from the web, and orchestrates the image creation process.

Muse Image functions as a creative assistant capable of transforming ideas into high-quality visuals that users can download and share directly to their feeds, stories, or chats. The model also supports working with user-uploaded photos, tagged friend profiles, and trending content from Meta platforms such as Facebook.

In addition to its availability in the Meta AI app, Muse Image is powering new creative features on Instagram and WhatsApp. Users can access over 30 AI-driven effects for Instagram Stories and generate images within WhatsApp direct chats using Meta AI, initially in select countries with plans for broader rollout.

Meta plans to extend Muse Image's presence to more countries and integrate it further into Facebook, Messenger, and additional interfaces on Instagram and WhatsApp. Advertisers and agencies will soon have access to Muse Image through Advantage+ creative tools.

Further developments include Muse Video, which is currently in progress, indicating Meta AI's expansion beyond Muse Spark and Muse Image.
