22,000 Police Officers Deployed for PSG vs Arsenal Champions League Final
Approximately 22,000 police officers will be deployed across France to secure the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal in Budapest.

French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez announced that around 22,000 police officers will be deployed throughout France to secure the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, scheduled for Saturday in Budapest.
Last year’s final, where Paris Saint-Germain defeated Italy’s Inter Milan 5-0, was marked by violent incidents, particularly on the Champs-Élysées and around the Parc des Princes stadium, where the match was broadcast on giant screens.
Nunez told the news site Brut that out of the 22,000 officers assigned to secure Saturday’s match, 8,000 will be stationed in the French capital.
The previous year also saw a large-scale security operation, with 5,400 police officers deployed in the greater Paris area. On that night, 563 arrests were recorded across France, including 491 in Paris, with an additional 79 individuals detained the following evening.
