Bruna Biancardi Affirms Financial Independence from Neymar Amid Criticism

Bruna Biancardi has publicly responded to accusations that she is merely a "trophy wife," asserting that she is financially independent from Neymar. The Brazilian influencer and mother of two discussed her career and the realities of her relationship with the Selecao’s all-time top scorer.

During an interview on the podcast Elas Que Jogam with Karla Felmanas, Biancardi addressed misconceptions about her financial status. With over 15 million Instagram followers, she clarified that she runs her own business ventures and covers her expenses without relying on Neymar, the former Barcelona and PSG forward.

"People think we don’t work, that we stay at home, that we’re trophy wives. I say, 'Wait a minute, because I have my jobs, I pay my team, I have salaries to pay. I earn my money, I pay my bills'," she explained. Biancardi highlighted her role as a business owner responsible for a team of employees who depend on her income.

Her professional activities extend beyond social media influence. Biancardi recently launched "Bru Na Cozinha" on her YouTube channel, where she interviews and cooks with prominent women such as Giullia Buscaccio and Lore Improta. This initiative complements her involvement in major advertising campaigns for international brands.

While Neymar prepares to lead Brazil on the field after recovering from injury, Biancardi focuses on managing her business operations. The couple balances their individual careers with their family life, raising their children Mavie and Mel.

Bruna revealed that her pregnancy was planned despite the demanding schedule of professional football. She recounted, "Yes, we were already thinking, 'Oh, let's have a third,'" referring to their decision to grow their family. She also noted that she discovered her pregnancy one day before Brazil’s official squad announcement for the 2026 World Cup, intertwining personal milestones with national sporting commitments.

In addition to addressing criticism about her role, Biancardi has supported Neymar through his recovery from a calf injury that caused him to miss Brazil’s initial World Cup group matches against Morocco and Haiti. He has since returned to participate in the match against Scotland.

The couple’s relationship has stabilized after earlier difficulties. Biancardi described reaching a breaking point during a period of uncertainty, stating, "We were in this back-and-forth, back-and-forth, back-and-forth. Then there came a point when I got stressed. I turned to him and said, 'You know what? I already told you I was going to reach my limit. I've reached my limit, I can't take it anymore. It was great, I loved meeting you, I love you, but, well, I've had enough.'"

This confrontation marked a turning point. Soon after, Neymar surprised her by organizing a birthday celebration in Paris with her family and officially asking her to be his girlfriend. "I arrived and my father, my mother, my sister were there. He brought everyone without me knowing," she recalled.

Currently, Biancardi continues to maintain her financial independence and develop her brand, while remaining a central figure in Neymar’s life as he carries the aspirations of the Brazilian national team.
