Ousmane Dembele dismissed rumors of tension with Kylian Mbappe, stating there are no issues between the French stars.

Ousmane Dembele, the French national team forward and 2025 Ballon d'Or winner, stated that "there is no problem" with captain Kylian Mbappe. This clarification follows a period where both players exchanged indirect comments through media outlets regarding the prestigious individual award.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, October 1, ahead of France's Nations League match against Italy at Stade de France, Dembele addressed the rumors directly. He confirmed that the two players had spoken while sitting next to each other at the table, reiterating that no issues existed between them.
The Paris Saint-Germain player refused to engage with the core of the alleged dispute. "I do not comment on all these things, I do not want to comment on them," Dembele said. He characterized the situation as "small wars on social media." At 29 years old, he noted he has little interest in such matters, emphasizing his focus remains on the pitch.
Kylian Mbappe, the Real Madrid star, also sought to lower the temperature surrounding the rivalry. In an interview with the newspaper L'Equipe, he clarified that there was no tension between him and his teammate.
Social media platforms circulated numerous reports and speculations about friction between Dembele and Mbappe during this period. These rumors coincided with heightened competition for the world's most significant individual football prize.
Dembele’s remarks came amid intense scrutiny of the Ballon d'Or race, which attracts wide attention from fans and journalists alike. The competition features several prominent stars among the nominees, fueling further discussion about their relationships within the French squad.
