The Transfer Agreement
Fabrizio Romano, the Italian football transfer analyst, announced the deal on his X account, stating: “EXCLUSIVELY… Borussia Dortmund have reached an oral agreement to sign Ethan Nwaneri from Arsenal… The deal is DONE!”
Romano added: “An agreement has been reached for Nwaneri’s loan to Dortmund for the full season, after the player accepted the move in recent hours.”
He concluded: “Sources at Borussia Dortmund confirmed the German club will fully cover the player’s salary during the loan period.”
Context and Background
Nwaneri had previously been linked with a move to AC Milan during the same summer transfer window.
The player is no longer part of Mikel Arteta’s plans at Arsenal.
