Enrique Riquelme Announces Signing of Two Major Stars for Real Madrid
Enrique Riquelme, a candidate for Real Madrid presidency, confirmed securing two top international players to join the club if he wins the election.

Enrique Riquelme, who is running for the presidency of Real Madrid, declared that he has finalized agreements to sign two prominent international stars for the club, assuring they will join the team if he assumes the position.
Riquelme is competing against the current club president, Florentino Pérez, in the upcoming election.
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper ABC, Riquelme stated, "I have already finalized deals, and I have two major international players signed for Real Madrid. They are two players, and we are currently working on the coach's file."
When asked again about these agreements, the CEO of the Cox Group emphasized their existence, saying, "There is an agreement that if I become president of Real Madrid, two major global stars will play for Real Madrid, and they are essential for the club's sports project in the short, medium, and long term."
Riquelme also expressed a clear stance when questioned about announcing the players' names within the next two weeks, replying, "Very likely... yes." Previous reports indicated that Riquelme intends to sign Norwegian Manchester City striker Erling Haaland if he becomes president of Real Madrid.
During an event in Valencia, Riquelme criticized Florentino Pérez's policy, which he said resulted in the absence of Spanish players signing with the club. He told the media, "It is a sad day for Real Madrid, given that no player from the team was called up to represent Spain in the World Cup."
He added, "Members of the general assembly should be allowed to hear different projects and decide on the future shape of Madrid."
