Federico Valverde Named in Real Madrid’s Friendly Lineup Against Fiorentina

Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho revealed the squad for the club’s upcoming friendly match against Italy’s Fiorentina, scheduled for 7 p.m. local time on Saturday in Austria.

The lineup features Andriy Lunin in goal. The defensive line consists of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Juan Martínez, Mario Rivas, and Álvaro Carreras. In midfield, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, and Arda Güler will start. The forward line includes Denzel Dumfries, Alexis Serrai, and Endrick.

The Spanish club opened its preseason preparations with two friendlies — against Alcorcón and Leganés. Madrid secured a 4–1 victory over Leganés in its most recent outing, maintaining positive results ahead of the new season.

In an official statement posted on its website, Real Madrid confirmed it will face German side Schalke 04 on Sunday, 16 August, at Veltins-Arena. The match is part of celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the stadium’s inauguration.
