Trump: We are in talks with Iran and communications are going well

US President Donald Trump said on Friday that the United States is holding talks with Iran, confirming that communications are proceeding well.

In remarks reported by ABC News, he noted that Tehran appears more willing than ever to reach an agreement.

Earlier today, Trump clarified that the decision regarding Iran will be determined soon, stating that his administration will implement many measures over the next two weeks.

He added: "Iran will not take any step without our approval, and it does not matter what proposals Iran is considering; they will not possess nuclear weapons."

He continued: "We control everything we wanted to control in Iran since our presence there began seven months ago. I prefer not to destroy what remains of Iran, but perhaps I will have to... You will see many things happen in the coming week or two. We are preparing to implement many actions."
