Fenerbahçe Candidate Reacts to Merih Demiral Transfer with Mbappé Remark
Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım responded to Merih Demiral's move from Al-Ahli Saudi to Fenerbahçe with a comment about signing Kylian Mbappé.

Aziz Yıldırım, a candidate for the presidency of Fenerbahçe football club, made a striking comment regarding the transfer of Merih Demiral, the Saudi club Al-Ahli's star, to the Turkish team for the upcoming season.
Hakan Safi, another candidate for Fenerbahçe's presidency, promised to sign Merih Demiral to strengthen Fenerbahçe's defense in the next season.
Responding to reports about Demiral's move to Fenerbahçe in a television interview, Yıldırım said, "Anyone can say that. I can say that I will sign Kylian Mbappé, the Real Madrid star, tomorrow, but it is just talk."
Merih Demiral, 28 years old, joined Al-Ahli Saudi in the summer of 2023 from Italian club Atalanta in a deal worth 17 million euros.
Earlier in his career, Demiral played for Fenerbahçe before moving on a free transfer to Portuguese club Alcanenense after not being promoted to Fenerbahçe's first team.
He also played for Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, Antalyaspor in Turkey, and Sassuolo in Italy, before joining Juventus and Atalanta.
Demiral contributed to Al-Ahli's winning of the Asian Champions League title over the past two seasons.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army issued evacuation warnings to residents of the villages Arnaya, Anqoun, and Kafr Fila in southern Lebanon.
