FIFA lifts Fenerbahce transfer ban after En-Nesyri payment resolution
Fenerbahce confirmed FIFA has revoked its three-window transfer ban following the settlement of outstanding payments for Youssef En-Nesyri.

A three-transfer-window prohibition on new signings has been officially rescinded by FIFA, clearing Fenerbahce to resume recruitment activities starting next January. The Turkish club announced Thursday that the governing body lifted the sanction imposed last week, ending a period of regulatory uncertainty.
Resolution of financial dispute
The penalty originated from a breach involving the summer 2024 acquisition of Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla. Fenerbahce failed to remit one installment of the 19.5 million euro deal, prompting the Spanish side to demand the subsequent payment before its scheduled due date.
Club officials maintained throughout the process that the restriction was temporary and would be removed once the funds were transferred. This prediction proved accurate, as the release of the money triggered the immediate lifting of the ban.
En-Nesyri’s tenure at Fenerbahce
En-Nesyri spent eighteen months with the Istanbul-based team, arriving in the summer of 2024 and departing during the winter 2026 window. His move to Al-Ittihad was valued at 15 million euros, according to press reports.
During his time at the club, the forward appeared in 79 matches. He contributed directly to 46 goals, recording 38 strikes and providing eight assists across all competitions.
