Borussia Dortmund pursues Fisnik Asllani, with contract talks underway for young talent Enzo Duarte amid squad changes.

Borussia Dortmund is reportedly considering Fisnik Asllani as a potential addition to their attacking lineup, with the 23-year-old TSG Hoffenheim forward reportedly receptive to a transfer. Discussions between Asllani's representatives and Dortmund have taken place, and the club remains interested, though official moves depend on departures from the current squad.
According to Bild, Asllani is viewed as a candidate to strengthen Dortmund’s offense, especially if players such as Serhou Guirassy or Karim Adeyemi leave the club this summer. The futures of these two players are pivotal; their retention would likely stall any progress in signing Asllani, while a departure could accelerate negotiations.
Asllani has built a reputation through his performances at SV Elversberg and later at Hoffenheim, catching the attention of several top-tier clubs. Reports suggest his release clause stands at €30 million for teams that have competed in the Champions League in the last three years, with other interested clubs facing a fee close to €25 million.
The competition for Asllani’s signature is intensifying, with RB Leipzig also expressing interest. Dortmund’s transfer strategy currently depends on potential player sales, and any delay in decisions could allow other clubs to move faster in securing the player.
One factor favoring Dortmund is the presence of sporting director Ole Book, who previously worked with Asllani at Elversberg and is considered a strong supporter of the striker. Should Dortmund generate sufficient funds from major sales, the club could proceed swiftly to finalize a deal.
In parallel, Borussia Dortmund is advancing plans to secure the future of 17-year-old midfielder Enzo Duarte. The Ruhr Nachrichten reports that Dortmund intends to offer Duarte a professional contract lasting four to five years, despite his current development agreement running until 2028.
Negotiations over the contract extension have been ongoing quietly, with both the club and player’s representatives maintaining discretion. Duarte is regarded internally as a player with considerable potential and is anticipated to compete for a place in the first team under coach Niko Kovac.
Although Duarte has yet to make his competitive debut for Dortmund’s senior team, he has earned five caps for Luxembourg’s national team and recently made his first start.
