RB Leipzig Enters Race to Sign Fisnik Asllani from Hoffenheim
RB Leipzig has initiated talks to acquire Fisnik Asllani from TSG Hoffenheim amid competition from Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.

RB Leipzig has begun discussions with Fisnik Asllani, the forward from TSG Hoffenheim, as the club aims to strengthen its attacking options for the upcoming season.
Bild reports that these initial negotiations between Leipzig and the Berlin-born player are in early stages, with no definitive agreements yet finalized.
Asllani remains contracted to Hoffenheim until 30 June 2029 but holds a release clause allowing a transfer this summer for €30 million, attracting interest from multiple leading clubs.
Among the contenders is Borussia Dortmund, who have closely monitored the 23-year-old. Their pursuit intensified following Ole Book's transfer to Dortmund, as Book and Asllani previously collaborated at Bundesliga newcomers SV Elversberg.
Additionally, FC Barcelona, now under the management of German coach Hansi Flick, has expressed interest in Asllani. His agent confirmed recent contact between the player and Barcelona representatives.
Despite Leipzig's interest, the club currently maintains three centre-forwards: Romulo, Conrad Harder, and Samba Konate. Romulo notably scored nine goals and provided four assists across 30 Bundesliga appearances last season.
In comparison, Asllani recorded ten goals and nine assists in 33 Bundesliga matches during the 2025/26 campaign for Hoffenheim.
