Four Fresh Transfer Targets Surface for Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund is exploring new transfer options ahead of the upcoming season, targeting several promising talents including Matt O'Riley and Ethan Nwaneri. Meanwhile, striker Serhou Guirassy expresses dissatisfaction with the past campaign and is reportedly nearing a move away from the club.

Borussia Dortmund has identified four new potential signings as part of its transfer plans for the next season. The club has already secured three players—Justin Lerma, Kaua Prates, and Joane Gadou—but is now expanding its scouting efforts to include other promising talents.
Emerging Midfield and Forward Prospects
Among the midfielders under observation is 25-year-old Matt O'Riley from Brighton & Hove Albion. Dortmund's scouting team, along with head coach Niko Kovac, have expressed strong interest in the Danish player and have initiated discussions regarding a possible transfer. Another midfield candidate is 18-year-old Vasilije Kostov of Red Star Belgrade, whose agent recently engaged in preliminary talks with Dortmund officials. However, the teenager's transfer fee is expected to be around €25 million, attracting attention from clubs such as RB Leipzig and Inter Milan as well.
In the attacking department, Dortmund continues to monitor Arsenal's 19-year-old winger Ethan Nwaneri. Sporting director Ole Book has renewed inquiries about the player, who spent part of the season on loan at Olympique Marseille. Nwaneri is reportedly interested in joining Dortmund, but the move would involve significant financial investment. Additionally, Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo, who has contributed eight goals and five assists this season, has drawn initial contact from Dortmund despite Lille's asking price exceeding €30 million and lacking a release clause. Young Colombian striker Samuel Martínez from Atlético Nacional also remains on Dortmund’s radar amid competition from English clubs.
Season Review and Player Movements
Reflecting on Borussia Dortmund’s recent season, striker Serhou Guirassy voiced his disappointment. The team finished second in the Bundesliga but was eliminated early from both the Champions League play-offs and the DFB-Pokal. Guirassy remarked, "To be honest, there wasn't much, because we didn't win anything. We were knocked out of the cup, we were knocked out of the Champions League – so there weren't many great moments." He emphasized that second place is insufficient for a club like Dortmund, which aims to secure titles.
Guirassy, who is under contract until 2028, appears set to depart this summer. Reports indicate that Fenerbahce has advanced negotiations, with their club president recently meeting the striker. Despite a €40 million release clause, no major clubs such as Real Madrid or Manchester City have formally approached him. Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are also reportedly monitoring the situation.
Transfer Rumors Surrounding Julian Ryerson
Manchester United has reportedly expressed interest in full-back Julian Ryerson, who has been linked with FC Barcelona as well. Dortmund would demand a minimum of €30 million for the Norwegian defender, who remains contracted until 2028. Ryerson, who has delivered 18 assists across all competitions this season, addressed the speculation by stating, "You're really clever. You know more than I do. I've got a two-year contract here, so I'm not giving it any more thought."
