Kevin De Bruyne Criticizes Antonio Conte and Reveals He Would Have Left Napoli
Kevin De Bruyne openly criticized former Napoli coach Antonio Conte and stated he would have left the club if Conte had stayed.

Kevin De Bruyne, the Belgian star of Napoli, launched a strong attack against his former coach Antonio Conte, who managed the team last season.
De Bruyne told the Belgian network HBVL that keeping Conte as the team's coach last season was a major mistake in his view.
He described the past season as difficult, explaining that Conte's football philosophy was completely different from his own.
"Football should be enjoyable alongside aiming for results, and that did not happen with Conte," De Bruyne added.
He also commented on the team's playing style, saying, "I was told we would play a certain way, but we did not see much of that. Playing with a 5-4-1 formation is not the best. Our top scorer only scored 10 goals."
De Bruyne expressed clear satisfaction with Conte's departure from Napoli and confirmed that his contract with the club extends for another season.
He indicated that he does not want to discuss his future with Napoli because he is not considering leaving at the moment.
Concluding, De Bruyne said, "Honestly, if Conte had continued, I would have definitely decided to leave Napoli."
De Bruyne joined Napoli in the summer of 2025 after leaving Manchester City in England.
