Man Utd Advised to Target Nottingham Forest's Ibrahim Sangare Over Elliot Anderson
Ian Wright recommends Manchester United prioritize signing Nottingham Forest's Ibrahim Sangare instead of Elliot Anderson for their midfield rebuild.

Manchester United plans to overhaul their midfield during the upcoming summer transfer window, focusing on finding a successor to Casemiro, who recently bid farewell to Old Trafford following their 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest.
Among the potential targets, Elliot Anderson has emerged as a candidate, but with an estimated price exceeding £100 million, concerns over affordability have arisen. Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has proposed an alternative, urging United to pursue Ibrahim Sangare instead.
Ian Wright's Recommendation for Manchester United
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Wright highlighted Sangare's physical attributes and playing style as fitting for Manchester United's needs. He remarked, “He has got that… You know something? When I watched him, I thought to myself, obviously, maybe some of the technical, but like he’s, physicality."
Wright added, “That’s the kind of player, you know, with Utd. You could get him in at Utd, with the quality around him, you just do that. Just do that physical stuff. I think that’s the kind of profile.”
Ibrahim Sangare's Role at Nottingham Forest
Sangare has been a key figure for Nottingham Forest this season, playing a vital role in their successful effort to avoid relegation. His contributions in midfield, particularly his tenacity and ball-winning abilities, have been crucial to the team's performance.
