Mbappé Reacts to PSG's Second Consecutive Champions League Title After Departure
Mbappé responded to Paris Saint-Germain's back-to-back Champions League victory following his transfer to Real Madrid in 2024.

Paris Saint-Germain secured their second consecutive UEFA Champions League title by defeating Arsenal 1-1 (4-3 on penalties) in the final held in Budapest on Saturday.
Following this victory, Kylian Mbappé, who left PSG for Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, reacted to a post by Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi. The post featured Hakimi posing with the Champions League trophy, and Mbappé responded by commenting with three heart emojis.
Mbappé played for Paris Saint-Germain from 2017 to 2024 and was part of the squad that lost the Champions League final in 2020.
After PSG won their first Champions League title, Mbappé publicly congratulated his former club, stating, "My story with Paris Saint-Germain has ended."
In June 2025, during a gathering with the French national team, Mbappé added, "I was happy."
Spanish newspaper Marca highlighted the role of coach Luis Enrique, writing that he "marked a turning point in PSG’s history. While Mbappé’s departure seemed it might dim the club’s shine, the project gained strong momentum."
Meanwhile, the Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo criticized Real Madrid’s star, stating, "Some may believe Real Madrid did PSG a big favor by signing Mbappé, as this allowed Luis Enrique to develop his playing philosophy without excessive pressure."
