Since 2023, Real Madrid has maintained interest in Pedro Porro, with his name frequently mentioned in the club’s transfer discussions aimed at reinforcing the team.

The Spanish right-back came close to joining Real Madrid during his impressive spell at Sporting Lisbon, but Tottenham secured his signing at the final moment.

According to the Spanish newspaper AS, Real Madrid’s management continues to monitor Porro closely, listing him among their priorities for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Porro himself has not dismissed the possibility of a move, stating in an interview with the program "El Larguero": "When you are young, you dream of many things; but to play with the best in the world, you have to master many things, and I still have a lot to improve... but we will see."

Challenges in Securing Porro’s Transfer

Despite the interest, a transfer would not be straightforward, as Tottenham acquired Porro for 45 million euros and is unlikely to accept a lower fee for his departure.

Porro is a key player for Tottenham, ranking as the third most utilized player this season with 3,743 minutes on the pitch.

Alternative Options for Real Madrid’s Right-Back Position

Real Madrid is also considering other candidates for the right-back role, including Jeremy Frimpong, whose negotiations are reportedly complicated, Reece James, whose recurring injuries have reduced his current prospects, and Diogo Dalot, who is also under consideration.

All these players are tied to long-term contracts with their clubs, which increases the financial demands of any potential deal.

For now, the right-back position remains an open topic at Real Madrid, with Pedro Porro still a prominent name on the club’s transfer agenda.
