MP Fouad Makhzoumi wrote on "X": "Full solidarity with Her Excellency Ambassador Nada Hamadeh Mouawad, who is playing an important national and diplomatic role during a delicate and critical phase in Lebanon. We have always called for the suspension of the Israel boycott law and warned of the danger of continuing to apply its provisions in light of the transformations taking place in the region, especially since the Lebanese state itself is currently engaged in official negotiations aimed at protecting Lebanon's interests, sovereignty, and security. It is not acceptable for the state, through its institutions and representatives, to seek negotiation and find diplomatic solutions while legal texts remain in force that can be used to prosecute those contributing to these efforts or to target holders of political positions.

The current stage requires addressing this legislative contradiction and providing clear legal cover for official diplomatic efforts, away from any politicization of laws. Full support to Ambassador Nada Hamadeh Mouawad in her national mission and in the efforts she is making in coordination with His Excellency the President of the Republic, defending Lebanon's sovereignty and supreme interests."
