Can Ronaldo finally win his first Saudi Pro League title and the Player of the Season award?
Cristiano Ronaldo and Ivan Toney headline the nominees for the 2025-26 Saudi Pro League Player of the Season award, with the title race between Al Nassr and Al Hilal set for a dramatic final-day finish.

Five players have been shortlisted for the 2025-26 Saudi Pro League Player of the Season award, with the league officially naming Cristiano Ronaldo, Ivan Toney, Joao Felix, Julian Quinones, and Ruben Neves as the contenders. The announcement comes as the title race between Al Nassr and Al Hilal heads into a decisive final round of fixtures on Thursday.
Al Nassr currently sit atop the standings with 83 points, holding a two-point lead over an undefeated Al Hilal side. A victory against Damac would secure the championship for the leaders, while Al Hilal face Al Fayha in what promises to be a challenging encounter. Any dropped points by Al Nassr could hand the title to their rivals at the last moment.
Ronaldo and Felix Lead Al Nassr's Charge
Cristiano Ronaldo has netted 26 goals this season and recently became only the third player in the modern era to reach 100 goals in the Saudi Pro League. With seven Man of the Match awards to his name, the veteran forward is widely considered the frontrunner for the individual prize. A win on the final day would also deliver his first major trophy since joining Al Nassr on January 1, 2023.
Joao Felix, Ronaldo's teammate, has enjoyed a standout debut campaign. The midfielder has recorded a league-best three hat-tricks, leads the assist charts with 12, and sits joint-second in overall goal contributions.
Toney, Quinones, and Neves Complete the List
Ivan Toney has been prolific for Al-Ahli, scoring 32 goals in 31 league appearances. The striker has collected four hat-tricks and nine Man of the Match awards this season. Al-Qadsiah's Julian Quinones has also joined the 30-goal club, becoming his side's all-time top-flight scorer with 50 goals while earning 13 Man of the Match awards. Ruben Neves, orchestrating Al Hilal's midfield, became the first player to surpass 2,000 passes and leads the league in dangerous passes.
The league confirmed eligibility criteria for the award, stating: "To be eligible for this award, a player must have participated in at least 40 percent of their team's total matches during the 2025-26 Roshn Saudi League, regardless of playing position or nationality."
Continental Heartbreak Fuels Final-Day Urgency
Al Nassr are seeking redemption after a 1-0 defeat to Gamba Osaka in the AFC Champions League 2 final on Saturday. A victory over Damac would ease that continental disappointment and spark celebrations across Riyadh, particularly for Ronaldo, who has yet to lift a trophy with the club since his arrival.
