Mohamed Salah officially ends his nine-year tenure at Liverpool, with Fenerbahçe emerging as a strong contender for his next club amid lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia. Salah reportedly prefers to continue competing at the highest European level, considering a reduced salary to stay in Europe and participate in the Champions League.

After officially announcing his departure from Liverpool, where he spent nine years winning numerous titles and setting records, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is reportedly close to choosing his next destination. According to CaughtOffside, Salah favors remaining in top-tier European competition, positioning Turkish club Fenerbahçe as a leading potential destination in the upcoming transfer window.
The Turkish club is reportedly preparing to submit an official offer to sign Salah. Positive signals have emerged from the player, who is willing to lower his financial demands to continue playing in Europe and maintain regular participation in the UEFA Champions League.
Sources indicate Salah might accept an annual salary between 12 and 13 million euros with Fenerbahçe, reflecting his desire to stay competitive in Europe despite substantial financial proposals from Saudi clubs.
Among Saudi teams, Al-Nassr leads the interest in acquiring the Egyptian captain, followed by Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qadsiah. Negotiations with Al-Ittihad have reportedly been paused temporarily.
Saudi Roshen League clubs are preparing significant offers, including annual salaries up to 30 million dollars and signing bonuses that could reach 20 million dollars. This places Salah in a challenging position, weighing the option to continue in Europe against embarking on a new experience in Saudi Arabia.
Despite growing speculation about a move to Saudi Arabia, sources close to the negotiations emphasize that Salah’s current priority is joining a competitive sporting project, as he believes he remains capable of performing at the highest level.
This comes after a relatively inconsistent season with Liverpool, where some observers note that age has begun to affect his physical performance, although he continues to have a significant impact on the pitch.
