Administrative and Justice Committee Approves Modified Proposal for Establishment of a Pension Fund for Licensed Surveyors

Chairman Representative George Adwan presided over a session of the Administrative and Justice Committee, attended by committee secretary Representative George Atallah and several committee members, to review its agenda.

The committee continued examining the legislative proposal aimed at establishing a pension fund for licensed surveyors in Lebanon, reviewing its justifications, with the presence of the President of the Union of Licensed Surveyors in Lebanon, Sarkis Fadous.

It also discussed the proposal's social stability implications for union members and their families, and reviewed reports from the Finance and Budget Committee and the Public Works and Transportation Committee, particularly concerning Articles One and Two of the proposal and the fund's resources.

After discussion and deliberation, the committee approved the proposal in a modified form, with certain provisions amended and one provision repealed, with plans to continue work on other proposals during next week’s session.
