Applications Open for the 2026 Second Session of the Colloquium Examinations

The Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Reema Karami, announced that the Directorate General of Higher Education has begun accepting applications for the 2026 – second session of the Colloquium examinations in speech assessment, visual perception measurement, motor therapy, and occupational therapy.

Applications will be accepted from Tuesday, September 1, 2026, until Friday, November 20, 2026, through the official online link for the Colloquium Department at the Directorate General of Higher Education.

Applications must be submitted directly by the applicants themselves if they are graduates from higher education institutions outside Lebanon, and by a university or college representative if they are graduates from private higher education institutions within Lebanon.

The ministry clarified that the online registration portal will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, November 20, 2026, and candidates must also submit a physical application file containing the required documents to the Secretariat of the Colloquium and University Equivalency Department at the central building of the Ministry of Education in UNESCO Square, Habib Abi Chahla, 6th floor.

Graduates from outside Lebanon may submit their files in person or through a family member—such as grandparents, parents, children, siblings, or spouse—while files from graduates of private Lebanese higher education institutions must be submitted through an authorized representative.

The ministry emphasized that the Colloquium examinations will be conducted exclusively in French or English, the official languages of instruction at private higher education institutions in Lebanon.

For graduates from private Lebanese higher education institutions, the required documents include a certified copy of the national ID card or an original individual extract of enrollment not exceeding three months old with a recent photo, a recently certified photocopy of the photo from the local mayor’s office, an original certified copy of the Lebanese secondary school leaving certificate or Lebanese technical baccalaureate or its equivalent, and an original certified copy of the university equivalency certificate for degrees issued by non-Lebanese universities. If the equivalency process is not completed by the application submission date, the university certificates and relevant mark sheets must be certified by the Secretariat of University Certifications.

For graduates from higher education institutions outside Lebanon, applicants must provide a copy of their passport, or a certified copy of their national ID, or an original individual extract of enrollment not exceeding three months old with a recent photo, along with a recently certified photocopy of the photo from the local mayor’s office, an original certified copy of the Lebanese secondary school leaving certificate or Lebanese technical baccalaureate or its equivalent dated recently, and an original certified copy of the university equivalency certificate dated recently.

The ministry reminded applicants that those wishing to participate in the second session of the Colloquium examinations must submit their university degree equivalency request by Friday, October 30, 2026, at the latest.

Additionally, students must pay the participation fee within one week of their application being accepted and upload the receipt directly onto the platform.
