Army Reveals Details of the Bretal Operation
The Lebanese Army has disclosed details of a security operation in Bretal, Bekaa, resulting in the liberation of a kidnapped Syrian man and ongoing efforts to apprehend those involved.

Issued by the Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Information, the following statement:
"Following security surveillance operations and close monitoring, the Intelligence Directorate conducted raids in the town of Bretal – Baalbek and succeeded in freeing a kidnapped Syrian national who was abducted on the night of August 14–15, 2026, by a gang comprising Lebanese and Syrian individuals, who had demanded a monetary ransom for his release.
The Directorate continues its raid operations to pursue and arrest those involved."
