Basat: There Is Market Laxity... Here Is What We Did

Economy Minister Amer Basat commented to MTV on the rising cost of living, stating, "We realize that the rise in global oil prices is reflected in prices, but there is also laxity in the markets that we are working to control. We conducted 17,500 field inspections with only 40 inspectors amid measures and violation reports against offenders, but the problem is significant and cannot be solved by monitoring alone."
