Bombings and Artillery Shelling: Latest Developments in the South

The Israeli army carried out a large-scale explosion this afternoon in the vicinity of al-Qanater village, while enemy artillery shelled outskirts of Hadatha village in Bint Jbeil with multiple 155mm shells.

A resident from Barashit village was reported killed after being hit by Israeli gunfire during a sweep toward the town with automatic weapons.

In Choueifat, a hostile airstrike targeted the Jermak road toward Kfar Raman, while the Israeli army conducted two separate explosions in Majdel Zoun village.

Israeli forces opened heavy machine gun fire toward the outskirts of Shaqra and Barashit villages, terrorizing several residents who had returned to their homes.

The Israeli army also burned several houses in al-Tayr village toward Hadatha – Bint Jbeil district, while recording movement of Israeli military vehicles toward Wadi al-Salouqi between Mais al-Jabal and Shaqra.

Israeli artillery strikes targeted the outskirts of al-Habariya village in Hasbaya district, while the upper part of the Deir neighborhood in Nabatiye al-Fawqa came under intermittent artillery shelling in the morning.

The Israeli army carried out a sweep with automatic weapons toward the village of Beit Yachoum in Bint Jbeil district.

Late at night, Israeli artillery targeted the outskirts of Hadatha village.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Fars news agency denied reports circulated by some media channels on social media regarding the detention of several Iranian Revolutionary Guard personnel inside tunnels in the Ali al-Taher area.

The agency clarified that the two tunnels attacked by the Israeli army in the Ali al-Taher area were housing 48 Hezbollah fighters, noting that eight of them were killed among the Lebanese combatants.

It added: “No member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard was encircled inside the Ali al-Taher tunnels in Lebanon.”
