Ministry of Agriculture: Olive Oil Samples in Nabatieh Comply with Libnor Standards
The Ministry of Agriculture announced that tests on 20 olive oil samples from mills in the Nabatieh Governorate confirmed compliance with Libnor standards, reassuring farmers and consumers.

The Ministry of Agriculture announced that "the results of tests conducted by the laboratories of the Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute (LARI) on 20 direct samples from mills in the Nabatieh Governorate were reassuring, showing that the samples mentioned in the report comply with the 'Libnor' standard for olive oil."
Technical committees within the Ministry had collected the samples directly from the mills, following a geographic distribution that included the districts of Nabatieh, Hasbaya, Marjeyoun, and Bint Jbeil, and referred them to the Institute's laboratories for the necessary tests.
The sample collection process covered mills in the towns of Hasbaya, Marjeyoun, Deir Mimmas, Ansar, Al-Dweir, Aba, Yater, Kfarra, Barachit, Safad al-Batikh, Qlayaa, Majdal Selm, Qaqaa al-Jisr, and Froun.
The Ministry affirmed that "these results enhance confidence in olive oil in the areas covered by the inspection, providing farmers, mill owners, and consumers with reassuring scientific data regarding the samples that underwent analysis."
The Ministry called for "supporting southern farmers and national agricultural production through the consumption of Lebanese olive oil, under the slogan: 'Let us consume Lebanese olive oil, and let us keep the bounty of our land on our tables.'"
