Broke Into Gas Station... Stole $28,000!
A suspect broke into a gas station in Bchamoun–Moukhtara on July 30, 2026, threatening an employee with a military firearm and stealing approximately $28,000 before fleeing. The Internal Security Forces apprehended the suspect on August 6, 2026.

"On July 30, 2026, an unidentified individual riding a motorcycle breached a fuel station in the Bchamoun–Moukhtara area, brandished a military firearm at the station attendant, forced him to open the safe, and stole a sum of money estimated at around $28,000 USD, then fled toward an unknown location.
Immediately, specialized units within the Information Branch launched field and investigative procedures to identify the perpetrator and arrest him. Following inquiries and investigations, the branch successfully identified him as: A. S. (born in 1983, Lebanese), against whom a search and investigation warrant had already been issued for theft.
On August 6, 2026, after meticulous surveillance and monitoring, one of the Information Branch’s patrols apprehended him in the aforementioned area.
Legal procedures were carried out against him, and he was handed over to the competent judicial authority following a referral from the relevant prosecutor."
