Complaints and Seizure Reports... What Did the Consumer Protection Directorate Report Contain?
The Consumer Protection Directorate in the Ministry of Economy and Trade reported in its weekly report that since the beginning of the war in early March until June 26, it conducted 7,975 field inspection visits, issued 352 seizure reports, referred 373 reports to the competent judiciary, and responded to 426 complaints.

The Consumer Protection Directorate in the Ministry of Economy and Trade reported in its weekly report that:
- Since the beginning of the war in early March until the current June 26: It conducted 7,975 field inspection visits, issued 352 seizure reports, referred 373 reports to the competent judiciary, and responded to 426 complaints.
- Since the beginning of the year - early January until the current June 26: It conducted 11,079 field inspection visits, issued 498 seizure reports, referred 671 reports to the judiciary, and responded to 628 complaints.
- In the week from June 22 to 26: The Consumer Protection Directorate responded to 20 complaints, conducted 512 inspections resulting in 26 seizure reports, and referred 19 reports to the judiciary.
The report confirmed that "the intensification of inspection tours by the Consumer Protection Directorate has continued since the beginning of the current war, following a circular from the Minister of Economy and Trade, Dr. Amer Al-Bisat, requesting stricter oversight (issued on 3/3/2026)."
The Ministry of Economy and Trade affirmed "the continuation of its inspection campaigns in coordination with security agencies, and the taking of necessary legal measures against violators, to ensure consumer protection and market stability."
