Drones linger over Tyre as explosions echo after ceasefire
A tense calm has settled across western and central Lebanese sectors following a midnight ceasefire, but Israeli reconnaissance drones remain active over Tyre and explosions were heard in the western sector this morning. Displaced residents have not yet returned, fearing a repeat of past truce violations.

A fragile quiet descended on villages and towns in the western sector and extending into the central sector after a ceasefire took effect at midnight, according to the National News Agency. However, Israeli drones have not withdrawn from the skies above the Tyre area, and several explosions were audible in the western sector during the morning hours.
The agency stressed that no returns of displaced persons had been recorded as of the latest update, driven by fears of attacks that have historically recurred during previous truces or ceasefires. The lingering drone presence and the sound of blasts have reinforced the cautious atmosphere along the front line.
