The European Commission President announced a €100 million aid package for displaced people in Lebanon and supported the Lebanon-Israel framework agreement.

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, announced the allocation of €100 million in aid for displaced individuals in Lebanon.
She also expressed support for the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel, describing it as a critical step toward avoiding escalation and stating that peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved while Lebanon remains in turmoil.
Von der Leyen added that Europe is prepared to back the framework of cooperation between Israel and Lebanon, emphasizing that disarming non-governmental armed groups in Lebanon is among the most important subsequent steps.
