Lebanese PM Nawaf Salam's office denies a fabricated social media story about a meeting with EU's Kaja Kallas.

A fabricated story circulating on social media platforms falsely attributed positions to Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, claiming they were expressed during a meeting with the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, on April 21. The Prime Minister's media office issued a categorical denial of the report.
The statement described the news as entirely baseless and a product of imagination. It clarified that Salam did not hold any bilateral meeting with Kallas in Luxembourg. Instead, he delivered a speech before the assembled ambassadors of EU member states—a speech that is publicly available and published.
The office expressed regret that some platforms rely on fabricated news and anonymous sources. It called for accuracy and urged the public to consult official sources before publishing any information related to the Prime Minister's positions or diplomatic activities.
